Advocacy Academy Training

The Advocacy Academy curriculum was developed to increase a new CASA volunteer's knowledge of the child protection and court systems and break down the steps involved in advocating effectively for a child in foster care. The Advocacy Academy manual contains 7 sections and is intended to be a supplement to the topics that are discussed during the 2-day in-person Advocacy Academy training.

The manual is provided below in a full PDF file and also divided into individual sections. Please review this material before starting your first case and feel free to use it as a reference as needed in the future.
