Message from the Clerk of the Court
Welcome to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One Clerk’s Office. This web site is designed to provide information for the most commonly asked questions about the Court and the clerk’s office. If you can’t find answers to your questions here, please feel free to contact our staff. Our telephone number is 602-542-4821.
The Arizona Court of Appeals reviews judgments entered by the superior court, the Industrial Commission, the Corporation Commission, and state commissions and boards, for the most part. Division One of the Court of Appeals has jurisdiction over cases originating in eight of the state’s fifteen counties: Apache, Coconino, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Yavapai, and Yuma. Additionally, the court decides tax appeals originating in any county.
The Clerk’s Office has many responsibilities, including filing, tracking and maintaining documents for all cases filed in the court. The Clerk’s Office is responsible also for making case information and court decisions available to the public and providing assistance to judicial staff. Most of the documents filed in our court are open and available for public inspection. Upon request, we will make copies of these documents. Arizona law requires us to collect a copying charge of $.50 per page. If you would like to review documents and/or have copies made please call our office for more information.
Our goal is to assist the public as much as possible. We are prohibited, however, from giving legal advice.
Thank you for visiting our web site.
