Andrew W. Gould, Judge on the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One from 2012 to 2017, graduated from the University of Montana in 1986 and received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law in 1990.  He began his legal career practicing in the field of civil litigation for 4 years and then became a Deputy County Attorney prosecuting major criminal cases for Yuma and Maricopa Counties.  He served as Chief Civil Deputy for the Yuma County Attorney’s Office from 1999-2001. 

In 2001 he was appointed as Judge of the Superior Court in Yuma County where he served as Associate Presiding Judge until being named Presiding Judge in 2006.  He was a Judge Pro Tempore for the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One for 4 years.  Judge Gould was appointed by Governor Jan Brewer to the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One in November 2011. Judge Gould is a popular speaker and is active in numerous professional and civic organizations.  He and his wife Connie have two children, George and Anna.
