Ethics in the Courts: Everyone’s Leadership Role

Presiding Judge Louis Frank Dominguez – Surprise City Court
Gabriel Goltz  - Arizona Supreme Court

“Ethics” can sometimes seem like a distant concept for judicial branch employees—Codes, Canons, Rules and the Judicial Conduct Commission more hypothetical than actual.  And yet these issues are confronted every day in the branch, testing our ability to make our ethical duties our “highest priority,” as required by the Code of Conduct.  This dynamic session will highlight the very real nature of our ethical obligations and the ways these obligations can challenge us daily.  Through the use of film scenes, participant voting, group discussion, and real world applications, the faculty for this session will show all court employees that their ethical obligations are real and their roles are clear—as leaders every day.

Morning Session: 9am-12pm

Afternoon Session: 1pm – 4pm
