JJSD Trainings

The Juvenile Justice Services Division (JJSD), Administrative Office of the Courts of the Arizona Supreme Court, has statutory responsibility for the administration of effective juvenile justice programming.  JJSD is engaged in continuous efforts to realign our strategies with evidence based practices and the current research.  This realignment is vital and valued in Arizona's juvenile justice arena and is part of the Strategic Agenda of the Chief Justice. Overall goals include: using evidence-based structure-decision making platform to improve the outcomes of juveniles involved in the juvenile justice system; promoting equity and fairness; and providing juvenile probation interventions and treatment services that are effective and are able to address the needs of the youth and families before the juvenile court.

Numerous trainings have been created to inform stakeholders of the juvenile court. These trainings have been delivered to juvenile probation officers; judicial officers; juvenile court prosecuting and defense attorneys; and to treatment service providers. As this work develops training materials will be made available through this website which you can refer to below.
