JRJ Service Verification

The John R. Justice (JRJ) Student Loan Repayment Program Service Agreement requires beneficiaries of the program to remain employed as an eligible prosecutor or public defender for a period of service of not less than three years (36 months) unless voluntarily separated from employment.  On September 30, 2013, the first 36-month cycle for the JRJ Student Loan Repayment Program ended (based upon the Fiscal Year 2010 solicitation period which began on October 1, 2010 and ended on September 30, 2011).

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requires each JRJ Administering Agency to annually prepare a final verification of JRJ beneficiaries who have either completed or have not completed their initial JRJ service obligation.  As such, all individuals who have received a JRJ award as well as their employer must complete a Beneficiary Service Verification Form to certify the beneficiary remained in an eligible position during the service agreement period.

If you have been notified by the Administrative Office of the Courts JRJ grant management staff, please complete and return the following Beneficiary Service Verification forms.  One form is for the individual beneficiary and one form is for the individual beneficiary’s employer.  Please return/submit both completed forms together.
