Meet the new Certification and Licensing Division Director
Before joining the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Mark practiced law in both the public and private sectors.
He spent the majority of his career at the Arizona Attorney General's office, where he represented a multitude of state departments and agencies, including the Department of Gaming, and the AOC Certification and Licensing Division.
During his time at the Attorney General's office, Mark received multiple Outstanding Team Awards for his efforts and team approach to problem solving.
He also was a recipient of the Statewide Impact Award, and the Inter-Agency Service Award.
Additionally, Mark served in various management roles at the Attorney General's office and was responsible for both legal and non-legal areas.
Mark received an undergraduate degree in economics from Arizona State University and then went on to receive a juris doctorate degree.
The Certification and Licensing Division (CLD) develops and administers certification and licensing programs for the Arizona Supreme Court. Division staff develop rules and policies including registration processes, qualification requirements, training, continuing education, codes of conduct, and disciplinary processes.
