For more information about this proposal, contact Aaron Nash, Task Force on Countering Disinformation chair, at 602-452-3656, [email protected]. Comment deadline: September 24, 2021.

Addresses responding to misinformation and disinformation. Takes the wording that applies to judicial officers in the ethics canons within the supreme court rules and makes them consistent in the ACJA sections that apply to court employees, including when employees respond as a third party on behalf of a judicial officer or court. Adds a comment following the rule, stating that those in the judicial branch can respond to misinformation and disinformation. Responses must conform to existing conduct requirements.
