Panahi, Bar No. 023421 General Counsel State Bar of Arizona 4201 N. 24th St., Suite 100 Phoenix, AZ 85016 602-340-7236 [email protected] Filed: January 10, 2022 Would amend Rule 17 and adopt a new Rule 17.1 of the Rules of Civil Procedure to more precisely define the appropriate parties to an action, clarify who may bring an action on behalf of (or defend an action against) a minor, adult in need of protection, or incapacitated person, and provide procedures for the appointment of a guardian ad litem for an alleged incapacitated person or an adult in need of protection. Comments must be submitted on or before Monday, May 2, 2022. Any reply by a petitioner must be submitted on or before Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
