    This petition requests permanent adoption of, and amendments to, Rule 8.1 of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, "Assignment and Management of Commercial Cases."

    Would permanently adopt Rule 8.1, Ariz. R. Civ. P., "Assignment and Management of Commercial Cases" as amended.

    FILED: July 23, 2018

    Comments must be submitted on or before September 24, 2018.

    Petitioner may file a Reply by October 24, 2018.

    ORDERED: Expedited Consideration Requested = GRANTED.

    FURTHER ORDERED: Petition to Permanently Adopt and Amend Rule 8. 1, Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure= ADOPTED, effective January 1, 2019.

    FURTHER ORDERED: the amendments to this rule shall apply to all cases commenced on or after January 1, 2019 and to all cases pending before that date,except the $300,000 minimum in amended Rule 8. l(c) shall not apply to cases pending before January 1, 2019.
