Would amend Supreme Court Rule 123(d)(7) to establish provisions for public access to court records in cases opened under A.R.S. Title 36, Chapter 40 regarding defendants who have been involuntarily committed after a finding of incompetence and dangerous under A.R.S. § 13-4521 as set forth in SB 1310, which was enacted during the 2022 Second Regular Session of the 55th Legislature and becomes effective on January 1, 2024.

Would amend Rule 123(d)(7) of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona to establish provisions for restricting public access in cases opened under A.R.S. Title 36, Chapter 40 involving defendants who have been involuntarily committed after a finding of incompetence and being dangerous under newly enacted A.R.S. § 13-4521.
