    This is a proposal to amend Rule 84(b) of the Arizona Rules of Family Law Procedure (ARFLP). In its present form, the rule allows a party to file a motion for clarification at any time. It is proposed that there be a limitation on the time frame within which to seek clarification of an order. NOTE: This Petition is supported by the Family Court Improvement Committee per their vote at the November 2, 2022, meeting.

    Would amend Rule 84(b) of the Rules of Family Law Procedure to provide that absent good cause or unless an exception applies, a motion to clarify a ruling must be filed no later than six months after the ruling’s entry.

    Comments must be submitted no later than Monday, May 1, 2023.
    Any reply by a petitioner must be submitted no later than Thursday, June 1, 2023.
