Task Force on Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure

The Task Force on the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure was established by Administrative Order No. 2014-116. This Order directs the Task Force to review the Rules of Civil Procedure, and identify possible changes that conform the rules to modern usage, that clarify and simplify language, and that avoid unintended variation from language in corresponding federal rules. The goal of the Task Force is to file a petition with proposed rule changes by January 2016, and to recommend changes that promote access to the courts and the resolution of cases without unnecessary cost, delay, or complexity.
