Recognizing clerks of superior court are elected to an office within the judicial department of the State of Arizona this ACJA section provides a code of conduct for clerks of superior court that establishes uniform standards for ethical conduct. It is intended to complement the Code of Judicial Conduct that governs the conduct of judges and the Code of Conduct for Judicial Employees and should be interpreted in a manner that is consistent with these codes. Compliance with this code will be enforced by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Arizona on recommendation of the Clerk of Superior Court Conduct Board as provided by court rule.
