Probate Training - Non-Licensed Fiduciaries

Non-licensed fiduciaries may serve as guardians, personal representatives, or conservators. Before letters to serve as guardian, conservator, or personal representative are issued by the court, non-licensed fiduciaries must complete training prescribed by the Supreme Court.

The required training for non-licensed fiduciaries includes a general overview for those appointed guardians, conservators, and personal representatives in addition to individual training sections for each separate appointment. A person seeking each appointment must complete the overview and the section for that appointment.

These programs are available online via links below and in alternate formats through the Superior Court in each county. Although fiduciaries may encounter other issues which will require additional training, this curriculum provides a basic foundation to adequately prepare fiduciaries to address these issues.

A conservator manages the assets of a ward or protected person. Throughout the conservatorship, the conservator is required to file an annual account with the court which provides an account of the protected person's finances. The conservator account forms represent different stages of the conservatorship and are the required format for providing such accounts to the court.
