2025 Arizona Supreme Court State of the Judiciary

It has been many years since a Chief Justice has delivered formal State of the Judiciary remarks. But the judiciary plays a vital role in our democracy, and the people we serve deserve to know what we’ve accomplished and where we’re headed. Rather than giving a traditional speech, Chief Justice Ann A. Scott Timmer decided to share this year’s message in a new way.

We introduce you to the 2025 Arizona Supreme Court State of the Judiciary video series highlighting the significant progress we’ve made during her first year as Chief Justice and the implementation of the ... and Justice for All strategic agenda.

Each video will spotlight how we’re advancing the five goals of the agenda:

  • Goal One: Expanding and Promoting Access to Justice
  • Goal Two: Maintaining Public Trust and Confidence
  • Goal Three: Protecting Children, Families, and Communities
  • Goal Four: Advancing Judicial Branch Excellence and Innovation
  • Goal Five: Enhancing Professionalism and Leadership

We hope you enjoy the series and take pride in how Arizona’s courts continue to lead the way—thanks to the dedication and excellence of our judicial branch employees.

2025 State of the Judiciary: Goal Two, Maintaining Public Trust & Confidence

2025 State of the Judiciary: Goal Three, Protecting Children, Families & Communities

A continuing priority is ensuring that children and young adults feel supported, informed, and safe when they interact with the court system. Our long-standing CASA program—Court Appointed Special Advocates—continues to provide critical advocacy for children navigating dependency cases. We’re also deepening our engagement with communities through listening sessions and town halls that bring voices from across Arizona into the conversation.
