Summary: This amendment conforms the ARFLP rules to Rule 6(e) of the Arizona Rules of Civil Procedure, which is the calculation of time for a party to respond to a notice or other paper served by a method other than personal delivery. The amendments to Ariz. R. Civ. P. Rule 6(e) became effective on January 1, 2011. The amendments to ARFLP Rule 4 include adoption of the comments to the corresponding civil procedure rule, Rule 6(e).
Impact: Courts need to be aware of this conforming change for calculating time.
