The Arizona Tax Court serves as the statewide venue for all civil actions involving a tax, impost or assessment.
- A total of 1,825 original cases were filed in the court during FY 2012, a decrease of 19.9% from the 2,279 cases filed in FY 2011.
- Of the 1,825 FY 2012 original cases filed, 1,614 were property tax actions, accounting for 88.4% of the total.
- A total of 2,251 cases were terminated, 943 or 41.9% by judgment. Cases terminated by judgement increased 35.1% from FY 2011.
- As of June 30, 2012, there were 1,688 cases pending in the tax court. Total cases pending decreased 19.6% from FY 2011.
