Child Abuse and Domestic Violence: A.R.S § 25-406 Report Training

The Child Abuse and Domestic Violence: A.R.S § 25-406 Report Training is hosted by the Administrative Office of the Court's (AOC) Court Program Unit. The training is a four-hour Zoom webinar that will fulfill the statutory requirements of A.R.S § 25-406(C)(3) domestic violence and child abuse training. Four hours of COJET or continuing education credit will be offered for the training. 

Session Overview:

This four-hour training provides a research-informed framework for evaluating how domestic violence, child abuse, and parental mental health crises impact child safety and well-being. Participants will learn practical strategies for custody investigations under A.R.S. § 25-406.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify research on the impact of child exposure to family violence and mental health crises.
  • Study the internal operation and identify the needs of the family court and court users.
  • Apply a child-focused framework to custody investigations.
  • Develop parenting plan recommendations that promote safety and compliance.
