Legal Paraprofessional Program

In the report and recommendations of the Task Force on the Delivery of Legal Services, a Legal Paraprofessional (LP) was called a Limited License Legal Provider (LLLP). The rules adopted by the Court renamed these providers. An LP is a professional with specific education and experience who is licensed to provide legal services in limited practice areas. This professional is often compared to a nurse practitioner in the medical field.

UPDATED NOTICE: If you meet the education or experience requirements of § 7-210 and would like to register for the first available Legal Paraprofessional examinations, please send an email with the subject “LP Exam Waitlist” in the subject line to [email protected] and include your name, address, and desired practice area(s) (Family, Civil, Criminal, and/or Administrative Law) in the email. When scheduling is finalized, those on the list will receive an email with additional information. Monthly exams will take place at the Arizona State Courts building, 1501 W. Washington Street, Phoenix, AZ, 85007.
