The attached petition proposes clarifying the good standing requirements to sit for the Arizona uniform bar examination and that the rules of court do not provide a right to reply in support of applicants' petitions for review of decisions of the Committee on Examinations and the Committee on Character and Fitness.

    Filed: January 10, 2022

Would amend Rules 34, 35, and 36 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Arizona to clarify the “good standing” requirement with respect to eligibility to sit for the Arizona uniform bar examination and to clarify that an applicant aggrieved by a decision of the Committee on Character and Fitness does not have the right to file a reply brief in support of a petition for review to the Supreme Court.

Comments must be submitted on or before Monday, May 2, 2022.
Any reply by a petitioner must be submitted on or before Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
