Yavapai County - What to Expect

What will happen after I join Family Treatment Court?

  • Congratulate yourself for taking the next step in changing your life for the better.
  • Stay in contact with your assigned Department of Child Safety (DCS) case manager. If on probation, also stay in contact with your assigned probation officer. Participate in DCS services and complete probation requirements (if applicable).
  • Attend Family Treatment Court sessions twice a month while in Phase 1, and then once a month for Phases 2, and 3. If on probation, sessions are twice a month while in Phases 1-2, and once a month for phases 3-5.
  • Participate in therapy, individual and/or group sessions, as recommended. Attend recovery support meetings and obtain a sponsor.
  • Call in to your assigned testing facility daily. Complete all tests as required.
