PREVENTION WORKING GROUP
A multidisciplinary group focused on reducing the involvement of children and families in the child welfare system. This group explores and encourages the use of best practice models that offer a safe alternative to children being removed from their parent or guardian.
ACTION ITEMS
Support the use of the Dependency Alternative Program (DAP) in counties throughout the state by creating educational materials and opportunities that ensure a clear understaning of DAP.
Educate attorney office members and county administrators about the Team Based Parent Representation (TBPR) and Family Preservation Legal Clinic (FPLC) models.
