Landlord/Tenant Disputes & Eviction

The rules for tenants and landlords depend on the type of housing: residential, mobile homes, and recreational vehicles (RV). Please watch the videos that apply to your type of housing.

Eviction laws can be very complex and there are exceptions. You should consult an attorney if you are unsure which rules apply to your situation. Click on Eviction Exceptions to view different scenarios and the applicable rules.

RULE CHANGE NOTICE: As of January 1, 2020, a new rule has become effective that specifies that a copy of the lease and any addendums related to the eviction must be served to the defendant with the complaint and summons. Additionally, if the action is for non-payment of rent, a copy of the accounting of the charges and payments for the last six (6) months must be served with the complaint and summons. (For more details, see the Supreme Court’s order amending the rules.)
