CTIT County Goals:

Decreasing Time in Care

  • We will initiate the POSITIVE communication between parents and placement by providing a space and safe environment to converse on child’s needs, likes, and routines. These icebreaker meetings are held within 30 days from removal.

  • Implementing a standard daily parenting time for infants and toddlers (ages 1 week to 3 years) that will help to increase healthy contact and bonding the child needs to meet developmental milestones.

- This may also help build the parents efforts in completing services.
- In conjunction with this goal,  increase in department approved supervisors.

  • Increase the Local Foster Care Homes.

- We will be teaming up with our Foster Care Licensing providers, in support, to recruit local families willing to take in children that are in an out-of-home placement.
- By providing space for advertisement and space to meet with the public.

  • Parent Support Group

- With the increase in visitation and other services, parents need the space to unwind and breath. We are fortunate enough to work with a mother that has successfully reunified. She is driven to helping other parents by providing a place for parents to understand the dependency case flow, parenting time coaching, has a home that is being transformed into a visitation home providing families the home feel for their visits. The department is also providing contact information on other reunified parents willing to assist in this support.
