Family Treatment Court is a collaborative, trauma-informed court model designed to support parents with substance use disorders navigate their case plans while promoting child safety, family stability, and timely permanency. FTC uses a phased approach that integrates judicial oversight, treatment, child welfare coordination, and family-centered services.

Mission

Family Treatment Court provides a coordinated, multidisciplinary, and family-centered response for parents with substance use disorders and their families involved in the child welfare system. FTC is grounded in the belief that recovery, healing, and family stability are possible, and is committed to supporting child safety, timely permanency, and lasting family well-being.

Vision

Family Treatment Court envisions a child welfare system where parents are treated with dignity and respect, substance use is addressed through evidence-based, strength-based, and person-centered approaches, and families are supported through equitable access to care, peer support, and coordinated services that promote long-term recovery and stability.
