Pinal County - What to Expect

How PATHWAYS Works

  • PATHWAYS is not a replacement for your main dependency court case - it works alongside it, offering added support, structure, and connection during your recovery journey.
  • Instead of formal hearings, PATHWAYS provides:
    • Regular check-ins with a dedicated judge.
    • A team approach focused on treatment, personal growth, and positive progress.
    • You'll work closely with your treatment team, court staff, and community partners as you move through the program.

Attending PATHWAYS Sessions

  • In-Person Sessions: Most PATHWAYS sessions happen in person, so you can build relationships and stay actively involved.
  • Virtual Options: In some cases, such as later stages of recovery or if you face transportaiton or other challenges, virtual participation may be allowed. This is decided by the judge based on your needs and progress.
  • What to Expect at Sessions:
    • Before each court session, the PATHWAYS team meets to talk about your progress and any support or changes you might need. These meetings help the judge and the team prepare for your sessions.
    • Sessions usually happen twice a month bu tmay be more often depending on program needs.
    • PATHWAYS offers separate sessions for men and women to support different needs. Transgener and gender-nonconforming parents are placed in the group that fits their identity.
