Welcome to the Steering Committee on Arizona           Appellate Case Processing Standards!



                               

In 2014, the National Center for State Courts published the "Model Time Standards for State Appellate Courts."   These standards, for the disposition of appellate cases in the state courts, were developed and supported by the Conference of State Court Administrators, the Conference of Chief Justices, the Conference of Chief Judges of the State Court of Appeal, the American Bar Association, and the National Conference of Appellate Court Clerks.

On November 04, 2015, the Steering Committee on Arizona Appellate Case Processing Standards was established by Administrative Order No. 2015-90.  The Committee is charged with reviewing the National Model Time Standards for State Appellate Courts and developing and recommending case processing standards for both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Arizona.The committee is scheduled to make its final recommendations in the spring of 2016.
