Child Support Guidelines Review - Public Hearing 01/15/2021


The Arizona Supreme Court, through its Family Court Improvement Committee - Child Support Guidelines Review Subcommittee (CSGRS), is currently conducting a review of Arizona’s Child Support Guidelines. Arizona values input from the general public regarding children and families and would like to provide a meaningful opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed guidelines.

Chair Judge Gass and the CSGRS membership invite you to virtually attend a public hearing intended to gather your input on the proposed changes on January 15, 2021. The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m.

If you wish to speak directly to the CSGRS during this public hearing, you MUST register. When registering by clicking on the "Register and Reserve my Timeslot" button below, you will be asked to select a 5-minute timeslot for your presentation. 


*In consideration for everyone’s health and well-being, this hearing will be held virtually using Zoom. You are welcome to listen to the meeting by joining the conference call. Only persons wishing to speak directly to the CSGRS on the proposed changes are asked to register.

  • Each person wishing to speak will be allotted 5 minutes. Comments should be limited to the proposed changes. 
  • If your comment is expected to be longer than 5 minutes, or you would prefer not to speak publicly, your comments may be submitted in writing at: https://www.azcourts.gov/familylaw/Public-Comments-Child-Support-Guidelines. All written comments will be submitted to the CSGRS members for consideration.

  • All comments will be taken in the order in which they were registered. 
  • You should plan to join the meeting 15-20 minutes earlier than your scheduled time in case you encounter technical issues or if a person scheduled to speak earlier does not use their allotted time.
  • If you elect to comment by video: As your scheduled time draws near your status in the meeting will change to panelist. At that time, you may unmute your computer microphone and turn on your camera. Staff will announce that you are next to speak. When Judge Gass calls your name, you may begin to speak, and the 5 minutes you are allotted will begin.
  • If you elect to comment by audio only using a computer: As your scheduled time draws near your status in the meeting will change to panelist. At that time, you may unmute your computer microphone. Staff will announce that you are next to speak. When Judge Gass calls your name, you may begin to speak, and the 5 minutes you are allotted will begin.
  • If you elect to comment by audio using a phone: Staff will announce that you are next to speak. At this time, you may unmute your phone by dialing *6. When Judge Gass calls your name, you may begin to speak, and the 5 minutes you are allotted will begin.
 
  • If you miss your name being called the first time, it will be called again; however, only after the registration list has been completely gone through to the end of names.
  • If you just learned of this hearing and wish to comment, Judge Gass will make a “Call to the Public” at the end of the hearing. To participate in the “Call to the Public,” please email your name, and phone number to [email protected]. Comments made during a “Call to the Public” are limited to 3 minutes.
