Contracts & Monitoring

In accordance with Arizona state law (A.R.S. 8-321M, 8-322, 8-261), the Arizona Supreme Court (ASC) is designated as the entity responsible for the administration and management of State General Funds appropriated by the Arizona Legislature. The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), Juvenile Justice Services Division (JJSD), expends those funds annually to divert youth from formal court processing, to fund family counseling programs and the fund treatment services to court-involved juveniles. These and other funds are managed by the Budgeting & Program Development Unit.

The Contracts & Monitoring Unit is an integrated team whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Procuring treatment services from statewide treatment service providers, on behalf of the county jurisdictions; administering the contracts with service providers; and monitoring the services provided to ensure compliance with the contracts. This unit also is responsible for tracking, and as appropriate investigation, of Incidents related to juveniles in AOC-funded services.
